In the Twin Cities, we like to get outside and enjoy the summer weather while it lasts. Winter time is for cozy nights IN watching movies, but during the summer there are several options to take in a flick outside!
 

Movie Night At CHS Field – A League Of Their Own (August 1st)

 
AARP Minnesota is sponsoring a free screening of the beloved baseball classic A League of Their own at CHS Field in St. Paul on August 1st! Bring a blanket and grab a spot on the field, or sit in the stands. Concessions will be open so make a night of it! The event is free, registration is encouraged here. 
 

Sound For Silents 2019: Film + Music On The Walker Hillside (August 15th)

 
A free event at the Walker on August 15th pairs a newly commissioned score from Twin Cities-based funk, soul, and hip-hop collective Astralblak with silent films from the Walker’s Ruben/Bentson Moving Image Collection. Food trucks and drink vendors will be on hand as well as DJ sets from Sanni Brown and Sean McPherson of 89.3 The Current make for the perfect summer night out! Surly Cinema (Monday Nights)

 
Free movies in the Surly Beer Garden all summer long! Their theme this summer is “blockbusters (and a couple that should have been)” and the line-up is full of nostalgic hits, see their site for all the details.
